Oak wooden flooring is essentially very simple, either natural solid oak or man-made engineered wooden floors made in a wide variety of different sizes, grades and colours.  There are also distressed and aged floor boards that create a vintage or restored appearance to a room or reclaimed floor boards for that authentic original feature charm. 

It can be baffling to search through the vast range of oak floors available both online and in the shops.  As a big advocate of the beauty and benifits of wooden floors, it is important to me to ensure you understand the differences between products so you can make an informed decision and therefore the right choice for you and your property.

My stock solid oak and engineered oak floors are all machined in Belgium or France to exact tolerances using sustainably managed Northern European oak.  It should be noted that a great deal of the wood flooring available online and in shops is made in China, often machined poorly and made from oak resourced from anywhere in the world with little or no regard to sustainability.  

As part of my service I will come to do a full site survey, check moisture levels in the property, bring samples for you to see in-situ, and in consultation with you provide accurate quotes for either supply and fitting of wood floors, fitting only or supply only.  You can find details of product prices along with fitting charges if required in my prices page.
